Poem by Doug Hibbard

Whether you were a Covington school girl or school boy
these were the entrances that brought you Joy.

First was a bridge, The Suspension was its name.
This is the city entrance by which you came.

Next is the Holmes' entrance made of stone.
On your first day at Holmes, Here you let out a moan.

The next entrance is the Junior Building, so ornate,
You probably remember going through it with
your prom date.

Last but not least, is, the Senior Building door.
When you went through it the last time, you
wished you had learned more.

These are the entrances from your school years
you used with cunning and knack.
Are you glad you went through or do you wish
you were back?
